My xbox 360 just put a ring around 2 50 dollar games and now they wont play!

My boyfriend was playing NBA 2K8 the other night like he does most nights. All of a sudden the console made a loud mechanical noise, and then a couple seconds later, it said it was unable to read the disk and the tray opened. He cleaned the disk and tried to put it back in but the tray kept opening. He finally got the tray to close with the game inside, but it still wouldn’t readthe disk. Does anyone who what would cause this and how we cn get it fixed???

THAT DISK OPEN TRAY ERROR IS BECAUSE THE LASER IS MOVING TO FAR ON THE SHAFT IF YOU TIP THE XBOX BACK EVER SO SLIGHTLY IT WILL RESTRICT THE LASER FROM MOVING SO FAR FORWARD IT WILL HELP TAKE AWAY THE OPEN DISK ERROR BUT NOT THE “PUT THIS DISK IN A 360 CONSOLE”.ERROR HAVENT FIGURED OUT THE SOLUTION TO THAT ONE YET IF YOU KNOW A SOLUTION PLEASE HELP X1XVIOLENCEX1X @ YAHOO.COM

everytime I put teh disk in it loads. when i press starta dn it starts loading it says dirty disk error please take out disk and clean with soft cloth and resert console. what is the problem there every other games work adn it was working fine until this morning

I have grand theft auto iv and it has one scratch on it. my call of duty game has many scratches on it and it does not say error disk is unreadable..Gta is my favorite game but i cant pay it…can you help me??

Me too - just started with the disc unreadable error. About 80% of my excellent condition 360 game discs. It has already been replaced once with the overheating issue. Something is not right AGAIN at Microsoft.

i had the same problem with madden 08, so i called xbox and they told me to delete all my memory, and now it works.

Now all the sudden my console started making weird noises and not reading the discs, what do i do?

I’ve had the same problem; first with FIFA 07, now with NHL 08. I just tried unplugging the hard drive, and so far, I’ve been able to play about 2 hours of NHL 08 error free. Hopefully this was the problem…

my 360 wont read the disc right… I have to keep restarting it 20 times to work… on all my games you think its my console???
