Occasionally, problems can arise tha cause the following Xbox 360 Disc Error:
This disc is unreadable. It may be the wrong region for this console. Match the region of the disc to the console. Clean the disc with a soft cloth. Restart the console. For more help, go to www.xbox.com/support.
Hopefully, there are a few things you can do to solve this problem without expensive repair.
First, “reboot” the console by turning it off, waiting 30 seconds, and then powering it back up. You can then try the disc again.
Second, you should carefully clean the game disc and examine the disc and look for smudges, cracks, or scratches. If it’s badly scratched, you may be unable to use the disc.
Also, you can turn off and unplug the xbox, and then remove the hard drive from the unit and remove any attached “Memory Units” then reconnect your console and try the disc again. If this fixes the probelem, turn it off again, and re-attach the hard drive and or Memory Units, then delete any saved games for the game. If possible, you can save the game data to a seprate Memory Unit.
Also, you can try other games to determine if the problem lies with the game, or with the Xbox 360 console. If it’s a faulty disc (even new discs are faulty at times), you should exchange the disc at the place of purchase.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact Xbox Customer Support.
I would like to know if there has been a recall or comments about the Madden 07 game because i have exchanged it twice and it still skips and freezes. It is brand new with no scratches. It is also the only game that does that to my xbox. I would like a reply please.
I purchased the new XBox 360 in December. The machine has completely stopped working. Initially the game began to make a loud noise while being used. Then the game began to report a “disc read error”. When the disc is placed in the machine it will not read the disc and continuously ejects the disc tray. This component is brand new and because of the high price tag we have taken extra precautions with the care of the game. I feel the unit itself is faulty!!

Everytime I put in my madden 07′ it oes to a white screen that reads put disk in to a xbox 360 consel in several languages. the disk has a white ring around it because my 360 got bumped and satted making a weird noise

Every few hours I get the dirty disc error,,,usually in fight night round 3 but I have been getting it in other games like gears of war. I know its not the discs so it must be this problem.
I just recently purchased the xbox 360 cooling fan and on about the second day, my xbox began freezing. As soon as i start a game, in about 15-20 minutes, the game freezes. A few times i would attempt to reboot the system but as soon as i turn it on, before it even gets to the dashboard it will sometimes freeze. Also I sometimes get the three red rings but it eventually goes away. I believe the 360 has a fault internally because me and 3 of my friends who have the 360 have all had problems with theirs.
I think that microsoft has to look into the xbox 360 game console and find out the flaws that the console has. There has been lots of reports from all over the US that people have sent in their 360 console to have them repaired and they only had the game a couple of months. There is nothing wrong with the graphics or gameplay but that does not mean anything if you have to worry about your game malfunctioning everytime you play the game for a period of time. This is the worst I’ve seen since the nintendo in the early days of games. We used to call nintendo a.k.a. cat batteries it doesn’t last long until you have to tap the game just to get it to play. Microsoft, we love you and we thank you for providing us with some of the best games and graphics you ever want to see but this is a major problem and this problem need your full attention because we pay our hard earned money to get this console to have something to look foward to on days off of work and we know things are not perfect but we expected better than this. We are experiencing problems that we did not expect to see until we had the game for a long period of time(years)but these problems are occurring in just a few weeks or months there are flaws you or gamers can’t deny that. We as gamers have a problem so we need answers and results.(You are in competition with ps3, lets get it together before 360 gamers start converting to ps3 gamers because the console don’t breaks down as easily).

I’ve had the same problem; first with FIFA 07, now with NHL 08. I just tried unplugging the hard drive, and so far, I’ve been able to play about 2 hours of NHL 08 error free. Hopefully this was the problem…
i had the same problem with madden 08, so i called xbox and they told me to delete all my memory, and now it works.

Me too – just started with the disc unreadable error. About 80% of my excellent condition 360 game discs. It has already been replaced once with the overheating issue. Something is not right AGAIN at Microsoft.

My boyfriend was playing NBA 2K8 the other night like he does most nights. All of a sudden the console made a loud mechanical noise, and then a couple seconds later, it said it was unable to read the disk and the tray opened. He cleaned the disk and tried to put it back in but the tray kept opening. He finally got the tray to close with the game inside, but it still wouldn’t readthe disk. Does anyone who what would cause this and how we cn get it fixed???

i own an xbox 360 arcade with internal memory.
i recently bot a used copy of Fable 2 and the game ended up freezing and i believe it is due to some scratches found on the disc. If i exchange it for another disc, will i have to restart the entire game again, or will the saved file just continue with the new game disc of the same game?

i keep getting this error that say to clean the disc this is nhl 09 then i bought nhl 10 and it did the same thing i went to the store to chenge it 3 times and the game wont work for nhl 10 but with my nhl 09 i keep trying it and and in a couple of mints playing around with it starts working let me no what is worng with this problem ….thank
